Description
The State Plan for Independent Living (SPIL) guides the goals, priorities, and activities of the Independent Living network in each state. This training provides a simple overview of what the SPIL is, why it matters, and who is involved in developing it.
Participants will learn about the roles of SILCs, CILs, DSEs, and community members, how public input is gathered, and the key sections of the SPIL. The session will also cover basic requirements for planning, evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
This training is designed for SILC members, CIL staff, DSE representatives, and anyone who wants a better understanding of the SPIL process.
