Description

Strong collaboration between the Statewide Independent Living Council (SILC) and the Designated State Entity (DSE) is vital for a thriving Independent Living network. This session will highlight real-world examples from Arizona’s model, exploring how clarity in roles, intentional partnership, and respect for autonomy create stronger systems of support.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how the SILC and the DSE interact within the Independent Living network
  • Recognize how that interaction ensures SILC autonomy
  • Identify strategies to strengthen partnership while maintaining compliance with SILC Indicators and DSE Assurances
