Description

This session provides practical guidance on partnering with State Assistive Technology (AT) programs to enhance Independent Living services and address common IL challenges – such as communication access, device affordability, and technology training. State AT programs’ device demonstrations, short-term loans, and reutilization programs expand communication and access solutions for consumers.

Objectives

  • Identify key services offered by State AT programs and how they can strengthen IL service delivery.
  • Describe opportunities for collaboration with State AT programs to enhance access to assistive technology and communication supports.
