Week 1 of 3: Resource Development

Description
This session will set the foundational mindset and skills needed to build a culture of resource finding within Centers for Independent Living (CILs). Participants will explore internal and external resource opportunities, understand the various staff roles within your CIL, and learn how to ensure resource development efforts are in alignment with the Independent Living philosophy.

In Week 2, participants move from building a culture of resource finding to creating a structured Resource Development Plan. This session outlines the core components of a strong plan, including clear goals, revenue strategies, roles, timelines, budgeting, and evaluation, while addressing financial risk and long-term sustainability.
